The enclosed vacuum chamber provides enough vacuum to quickly remove entrained air from any porous sample, maintaining a vacuum throughout the impregnation process. The mounting compound automatically fills the voids of the sample if there is no air present, eliminating the gap between the sample and the compound. As a result, the edges remain reinforced and the fragile sample is well supported during grinding and polishing.
The uniquely designed pouring mechanism allows the pre-mixed cold mounting compound to be placed in the cavity. Using a unique rotating table in the vacuum chamber, multiple samples can be vacuum impregnated at the same time and then poured into the mold at one time. . Cold compounds for a variety of epoxy and polyester castable. Since the sample is packaged under vacuum, the possibility of air ingress is eliminated.
This cold mounting machine is mainly used in the sample preparation work of non-heat able materials (PWB, plastic products, diamonds, jade, etc.).
